Founded in 2011 by Peter & Susan D’Allessandro, Disaster Cleanup Services is a family-owned and operated, full-service property damage restoration company proudly serving Long Island and the New York Metro area. Specializing in Mold Remediation, Fire & Water Damage Restoration, and Construction Services 24/7 emergency response for residential and commercial properties.

With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the restoration industry, Peter began his career in 2005, traveling throughout the country to assist communities impacted by hurricanes, floods, and other major disasters. His extensive fieldwork includes responding to Hurricanes Sandy (NY 2012), Irene (NY 2011), Lee (MD 2011), Fay (FL 2008), Gustav (LA 2008) and Ike (TX 2008), along with catastrophic flooding and storm recovery efforts throughout Colorado, Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa.  Peter has built a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and compassion. His experience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to helping families and businesses recover have been the foundation of Disaster Cleanup Services' success. 

In 2024, Susan D’Allessandro, one of the company’s original founders, assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Through her leadership, dedication to customer service, and focus on operational excellence, Susan has helped guide Disaster Cleanup Services’ continued growth while maintaining the family values, integrity, and professionalism the company was built upon.
